16 mile run, after 4 miles, pick-ups of 1', 3', 10', 1', 3', 5' with 5' recoveries around Allen Parkway in 1:39:03
Total
80 Miles

* I nailed a great long run this morning, so good, that I was not able to run with Rudy, Gerardo, and Chad, as my natural rhythm was just too quick this morning. By 6M I was bored and set off at my own pace, running a great Allen Parkway loop, but I was quite fatigued for the final 3M, Memorial Park loop, which I ran sub-6:10 pace. Great start, other than a flat tire...

* Heck of a workout this morning. I got a late start due to my littlest daughter being sick with fever and sleeping with us, so I did not get much rest. By the time I hit the dirt oval, the sun was shining brightly and it was brutal out. I believe I over-heated by the first 1600m, but I was running strong. Broke out my new Mach X's, which I was nervous about, but they worked quite well. I knew this would be a difficult workout, as I have not pushed myself much at sub-5:00 pace in quite some time, but was pleased that I finished the workout. Not pleased with my strength, but I definitely went out too hard (first 2km was sub-4:50 mile pace) and just tried to maintain the rest of the workout. Great work.

* Pretty rough long run this morning due to yesterday's full day of work and aborted run. My right side was just not functional today after about 4 miles of running, although my first couple of pick-ups were quite strong and powerful. The remainder of the run was survival, because I was just not mechanichal thanks to the 8 hours of driving yesterday. Managed sub-6:15 pace the whole way, though, which is quite nice. Will take what I can get...
