HARRA XC Relay

Gabriel Rodriguez , Joe Amburn, Joe Oveido and Abe Zavala posted an eight-mile time of 42:25 as they held off a Luis Armenteros-led team by just three (3) seconds to capture Saturday's HARRA Cross Country Relay, hosted by the Tornados Running Club . The team of Jose Lara, Vaughn Gibbs, Ray Caesar Martinez and Luis Armenteros came up just three seconds short of victory at Saturday's HARRA Cross Country Relay; however, they chipped away at a 30-second lead set down on the first lap of 10:05 by Gabriel Rodriguez .But Armenteros couldn't hold off the stronger finishing charge in the sand by former Sam Houston State star Joe Amburn even though the former Rice Owl started his 2-mile lap five seconds down.
