15 Miles steady around Elkridge and Patapsco in 1:35:55
Total
46 Miles

* Absolute madness, I tell you. Between the travel, the fatigue, I am getting it done. Rudy was man enough to go with me to Huntsville for our long run and I committed to two loops, or close to 30km, attacking the final 30-minutes. I think that effort kick-started my system. I ran strongly the next day, although I was quite tired. Then, on Tuesday, I felt like absolute crap (busy day at work) and couldn't run until 6PM and was so uncoordinated. Still, I ran a minute faster than previously. Then came today. I looked at the schedule and saw "10K very fast", so I busted out the T6's and attacked the course from the gun, not even warming up a bit in the 86-degree heat and humidity. I attacked, relaxed, and kept the gas pedal down. My previous CR was 37:22 on a "tempo" day, so I was aiming for that record and hopefully a 36-min clocking. 35:29 was what I closed in on a 15K tempo and 33:57 is what I "raced" in April. I fell apart slightly the last 800m and finished up in 34:02! 5:29 pace on a decently difficult course, and with a shoelace untied! Better yet, I would have subbed-34 if I didn't fall apart. I just need to keep putting in the work. This run was a great confidence booster for myself. We shall see...
