* I have to document this. I am watching the Hope for Haiti Now telethon concert and I am near tears as I type this just watching Stevie Wonder deliver a beautiful version of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters," and then Shakira gets on, with me questioning, "who is this girl?" until I hear her patented vocal skills. She is singing a song I grew up with, "I'll Stand By You" and it's rough. I read somewhere that the United States has donated over $16 million in aid over the years to Haiti, and I just thought that "we're paying some kid in New York to throw a baseball over $52 million dollars, and we can't send more to Haiti?" Haiti needs $16 BILLION from the world, not $16 MILLION.
