* Alright, I have hopped back on the Coach Erickson train... My schedule in life has settled to the point that I think being back under Coach Erickson's direction will only keep me focused and hard... just what I need... some accountability. Already, he has me excited about my ability (2h16'-2h18' Marathon; 29'50" 10,000m; 3'50" 1500m) and my goals and is willing to incorporate my demanding racing/work schedule. From 2003-2004, I ran and raced my best, but trained most of the time and raced sparingly... now the tables will turn and I am excited.

* A solid week of training. I could really feel my day to day intensity increase and my gait open up and become more fluid and more effortless. Still not fit, still fighting drops in energy mid-run, but this morning's long run, coupled with Saturday's 60 min blast on hills has boosted my confidence. Unsure how this will translate over 5km vs. Figueroa, but I am prepared to run hard and push my body. Hot, hot, hot...
