* Highest mileage week of the year. It's about time I'm waking up. It only took me 3+ months to get going. If I am going to make a serious attempt at Twin Cities I need to average around 80+ for the next two months before transitioning to Marathon Training. I am actually contemplating already starting to incorporate some longer runs, but my speed is definitely starting to come back, and I'd rather head into Marathon training on 3:55 for 1500m fitness, than 4:05...
* Also found out that the 2008 Twin Cities Marathon, aside from being the USA Championship race, is also a 2012 Olympic Trials Qualifier. 2:19:00 is the standard. 2:22:16 is my goal. If training goes really well, I will see if I can handle traning at the sub-2:19:00 intensity necessary to achieve such a time. Only time will tell....
