* Obviously, I have been doing a lot of traveling in my territory and it has been amazing. As I visit new countries, I am exposed to the passion of the local runners. Here in Quito, Ecuador, I awoke to hundreds of runners lapping El Parque Carolina in the early morning. Just amazing and inspiring how many people get out there and sacrifice. I had a great run until about 54' when I just crashed. The est. 9,200ft of altitude is like a constant press on the soul. My breathing is fine, but the body just has this malaise to it that is unbeatable. I finished up well enough to consider a speed workout tomorrow morning on the central track. I am unsure of the distance, but am looking at 800m-1km repeats... minimum rest, and at least 5km of work. We shall see...
